Até que ponto você está disposto a sacrificar-se, por amor a Cristo, pelos outros?


Em maio de 1973, uma equipe de missionários ingleses devidamente preparados, tanto na área bíblica, missiológica, quanto linguisticamente foi enviada para um trabalho de apoio no interior de Níger onde, em um Posto Missionário junto à tribo “Batuqui”, um casal de missionários enfrentava um grande problema.
Após longa caminhada por região de savanas áridas, esta equipe composta por 2 missionários experientes, um médico e um missionário-antropólogo chegou à tribo “Batuqui”.
O casal de missionários que ali trabalhava há 3 anos, John e Magge, havia tido filhos há cerca de 8 semanas no próprio posto que encontrava-se inserido entre várias aldeias. A gravidez de Magge foi normal e no parto descobriram que eram GEMEOS: dois meninos sadios.

Instantaneamente sentiram que todas as aldeias ao redor ficaram inquietas e pararam de ir até o Posto Missionário, até que, passando duas semanas do parto, o chefe de toda a tribo na região norte dirigiu-se ao Posto e explicou-lhes incisivamente que quando nascem dois ou três e não apenas um como é natural, significa que a ordem natural de todo o mundo foi alterada e pragas, epidemias, tremores de terra e morte irão acontecer em todas as regiões do grande mundo, seja ali ou longe. É necessário, portanto, que uma das crianças seja sacrificada para que a ordem natural se restabeleça no mundo e voltem a viver tranquilos.
John manifestou-se tentando por três dias explicar-lhe que o nascimento de gêmeos fazia parte da “naturalidade” e não da “naturalidade” do sistema mundial, mas em vão. Por fim disse que não sacrificariam um de seus filhos, porque era bênção e não maldição.
Saindo dali, o chefe convocou toda a tribo para uma grande reunião e lhes explicou o que aconteceu e que uma criança não seria sacrificada; desta forma “como já fizeram nossos ancestrais quando Tunoco fugiu com seus filhos para que não fossem sacrificados, temos que convocar o ‘hantchumalan’. John, perguntando, descobriu que Tunoco foi um homem que viveu cerca de 200 anos atrás e é o único precedente histórico de alguém que, durante toda a história da tribo, negou um dos seus filhos ao sacrifício quando nasciam gêmeos ou trigêmeos. Instituiu-se ali então um ritual chamado “hantchumalan” que significa “todos irão pagar”, onde TODAS as crianças até a “idade de nome” (cerca de 5 anos) terão que ser SACRIFICADOS coletivamente.
John e Magge não conheciam a cosmovisão “Batuqui” sobre gêmeos ou trigêmeos até aquele momento. Durante seus 3 anos de trabalho ali não nasceram nem gêmeos ou trigêmeos em toda a tribo.
O “hantchumalan” foi marcado para quando “a lua estivesse branca e assim todos pudessem ver nela, refletidos, os rostos e lágrimas de todos os pais pranteando seus filhos mortos” – cerca de dois meses depois.
Não houve agressividade da tribo para com John e Magge, entretanto, os seis convertidos com seu trabalho agora estavam em dúvida: “Não nos ensinaram a amar o outro como amamos a nós mesmos? Se deixamos todas as crianças morrerem porque não abrimos coração (expressão que significa ‘abrir mão’) de um de nossos filhos então NÃO SABEMOS O QUE É AMOR!”
Como missionários no local o que fariam?
Como membro da equipe missionária de apoio, qual seria sua atitude?
Como igreja que envia ou como intercessor e conselheiro para a obra missionária qual seria o seu conselho?

I – O CERCO DE BEN-HADADE.

II Reis 6:24 Em que se consistia um cerco?
Quase toda cidade daquela época era fortificada, ou seja, possuía grande e alto muro ao redor de toda a extensão de suas casas. Samaria possuía estes muros e poucas portas de acesso para dentro dos muros da cidade. À noite, as portas eram fechadas e ninguém entrava ou saía mais dali. Era a única maneira de manter os inimigos de fora da cidade.
A estratégia de guerra era interessante:
Ben-Hadade reunia todo o seu exército (de acordo com a enciclopédia judaica que cita a Literatura Rabínica, ele tinha 120 mil soldados, incluídos os soldados dos 32 reis que eram seus aliados) e sitiava a cidade. Faziam o seu acampamento ao redor de toda a cidade, armando tendas, fazendo fogueiras, a uma distância que todos que subissem nos muros da cidade conseguiriam enxergá-los, mas nenhuma flecha ou lança os alcançaria. Ali permaneciam por semanas, meses ou quem sabe anos, não deixando que ninguém entrasse na cidade ou saísse dela com vida. Ficavam acampados ao redor da cidade até que a comida e a bebida de dentro da cidade acabasse, e aí, enfraquecidos e famintos, os moradores da cidade abririam as portas e os deixariam entrar. Assim tomavam a cidade sem ter que se esforçar.
A fome começara a apertar em Samaria. II Reis 6:25
A fome era tanta que aquelas pessoas que ainda possuíam algum recurso compravam cabeças de jumento por 80 ciclos de prata (mais ou menos 50 dólares hoje) e com cinco ciclos (mais ou menos três dólares e meio) de prata compravam esterco de pombas. O historiador judeu Flávio Josefo diz que o esterco servia de sal para a cabeça de jumento a ser comida. Outro comentarista fala que o esterco servia de combustível para refogar a cabeça de jumento. Qualquer uso disso dá nojo em quem imagina.
Mas havia pessoas, como em toda cidade há, que não tinham 85 ciclos de prata para comprar cabeças de jumento e esterco de pombas. Não tinham nada… Mas para saciar a própria fome, mulheres estavam se alimentando da mais vil das comidas:
seus próprios filhos, sendo cozidos e comidos.
Tamanha era a fome em Samaria, mas nem assim o Rei conseguia enxergar seu pecado e o pecado do seu povo, mas antes pretendia achar um culpado para toda aquela situação. Sendo assim jogou a culpa em cima de Eliseu, o profeta do Senhor, que morava ali na cidade e estava sofrendo o cerco juntamente com todos.
Que semelhança tem estes acontecimentos com nossos dias?
Muitas semelhanças.
Satanás cerca com todo o seu exército as vidas dos homens, suas casas e suas cidades querendo tomar posse de tudo. Ele “mata” toda ajuda que pode chegar até nós, e não deixa que nada saia de nós em expressão verbal ou emocional que pode nos ajudar. Ele faz questão de cercar nossas vidas, nossas casas, nossas cidades e esperar. Esperar até que abrimos a porta para que ele entre lhe dando o lugar de honra, o lugar do dono.
Nossa gente, faminta e já “comendo os seus próprios filhos” abre as portas, escancara os ferrolhos, para que ele entre para dominar tudo e todos.
Quando pais deixam seus filhos sem correção, instrução, limite estão justamente abrindo as portas de suas vidas e famílias para que o inimigo entre e faça com a família o que quiser.
Com o cerco, pessoas se alimentam do que tem dentro e assim passam a ter mais fome do que é mal, do que é podre. A mente fica tão poluída que não dá mais para limpar. Cauteriza-se a mente…
O que poderemos dizer ao olharmos para o caso recente do pai e a madrasta de uma menina linda e inocente, Isabela, a mataram com as próprias mãos – “alimentando-se” com o ódio e saciando a sede e fome com a morte da criança?
A disposição e o uso do Senhor.
“… levantaram-se…”
Impressiona-me que Deus poderia usar homens e mulheres importantes que ali se encontravam.
Deus poderia ter usado o Rei; ou quem sabe um de seus príncipes; ou até mesmo um levita ou sacerdote; um capitão do exército do Rei; ou ainda além de todo, Deus poderia ter usado o seu profeta para avisar o povo de Samaria que já estava livre, mas Deus fez uso de instrumentos que a olhos humanos não eram nem dignos de entrar na cidade, quanto mais de serem usados por Deus (a própria lei do Senhor era rígida ao ponto de nem aceitarem-se que morassem dentro da cidade ou arraial).
Deus usou quatro homens leprosos. Isto mostra que Deus, o nosso Deus, usa leprosos…
A pergunta, porém, é:
Até que ponto você está disposto a sacrificar-se, por amor a Cristo, pelos outros?
Quem aqui pode levantar sua mão e dizer que não é leproso?
A Bíblia sempre compara a lepra com o pecado e deste ponto de vista não há nenhum homem sobre esta terra (a não ser Jesus!) que não seja “leproso” – PECADOR.
Mas para você que sempre se sentiu desprezado, amargurado e sem capacidade para ser usado por Deus eu digo:
Deus quer usar leprosos como eu e você!

III – A MENSAGEM DE LIBERTAÇÄO.

Eles, os leprosos, entraram em algumas tendas e levaram para esconder riquezas incontáveis e muita comida, fartando-se de tudo aquilo que tinham sido privados já a bastante tempo.
Eles nem estavam se lembrando, a princípio, da cidade que lá permanecia, como se o inimigo ainda não tivesse sido derrotado, morrendo sem saber que podia libertar-se, sair e alimentar-se, pois, Deus já resolvera o problema do cerco…
Outra pergunta é: “Será que não fazemos o mesmo?”
Domingo após domingo, trabalho após trabalho, nos alimentamos, fartamos nossa alma e espírito, comendo toda sorte de manjares espirituais, mostrados para nós através da palavra de Cristo, porém, não somos como os leprosos em sua segunda fase: não escutamos a voz do Espírito Santo a gritar em nossos ouvidos que “a cidade”, as gentes, os povos, as nações, as línguas e as raças precisam de alguém que vá até eles, que retorne e lhes fale sobre a libertação já promovida por Cristo na cruz.
Egoisticamente permanecemos imóveis enquanto milhões se perdem sem nem mesmo ouvir de Cristo uma única vez.
As 2000 nações ainda não alcançadas continuam intocadas pelo evangelho do Senhor. De 1920 para cá, 930 povos já se extinguiram sem terem tido a oportunidade de ouvir de Jesus uma única vez…
Deus quer usar leprosos, mas leprosos que tenham DISPOSIÇÃO e que escutem a voz do Espírito Santo

CONCLUSÃO:

A situação do mundo não mudou nada.
Em uma região da África, 300 animais são sacrificados aos espíritos numa só noite (enquanto que suas crianças morrem de inanição);
Milhões passam fome na Índia, enquanto seus animais são cultuados e adorados como deuses;
Em uma região africana, crianças com até oito anos ainda podem ser sacrificadas ao deus Mal, para aplacar sua ira contra o povo;
No Brasil, crianças são mutiladas e sacrificadas para satisfação de caprichos e raiva de parentes, amigos ou desconhecidos.
Nem precisamos ir tão longe – olhe ao seu redor. Quanto sacrifício você está disposto a fazer para cuidar daquele que está ao seu lado? Quanto do seu ego você pode deixar de lado? Quanto do seu egoísmo? Quanto sono pode perder para orar por ele? Quanto abraço pode dar no seu irmão fazendo-o sentir-se amado e querido.
Até quando você vai esperar?

O QUE VOCÊ PRETENDE FAZER?

Levantar-se da porta onde está assentado inerte e ir até o arraial do inimigo, ou permanecer assentado até morrer e assim outro irá tomar o seu lugar, no seu banco, assentado até morrer também…
A História dos Gêmeos
Um dia antes do sacrifício de todas as crianças da tribo “Batuqui”, John e Magge chegaram à conclusão que deveriam entregar um de seus filhos para ser sacrificado em lugar das dezenas de crianças da tribo.
John levantou-se e foi até a casa do chefe com seu filho escolhido para o sacrifício nos braços. Chegando lá, para espanto do chefe entregou o seu filho para ele e lhe disse que sacrificasse em lugar das outras crianças.
O chefe chamou toda a tribo e disse emocionado:
“Nunca pensei que alguém que não fosse de nossa tribo nos amasse de tal maneira, que desse seu filho para morrer pelos nossos filhos”.
Virando para John disse: “Nunca pensei que você entregaria seu filho para ser sacrificado”.
Dizendo isto, o chefe levou o filho do missionário para perto dele e devolveu-o não o aceitando para o sacrifício. Olhou para os seus próprios filhos, escolheu o mais novo, de apenas nove anos, e sacrificou no lugar do filho do missionário.
Hoje, anos mais tarde, há uma Igreja forte plantada no meio daquele povo, um povo que hoje, serve ao Senhor e não mais aos espíritos.
O missionário deu o que tinha de melhor…

I - THE SIEGE OF Benhadad .

God used four leprous men . This shows that God , our God , uses lepers ...
The question however is :
How far are you willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of Christ , by others?
Who here can raise their hand and say that there is a leper ?
The Bible always compares leprosy with sin and from this point of view there is no man on this earth ( except Jesus ) than " leper " - SINNER .
But for you who always felt scorned , bitter and unable to be used by God, I say :
God wants to use lepers like you and me !

III - The message of liberation .

They lepers came into some tents and took to hiding untold riches and lots of food , gorging yourself of all that had been deprived for some time now .
They were not even remembering the principle city that stood there , as if the enemy had not been defeated, dying without knowing that he could free himself , go out and eat, because God has already solved the problem of the siege ...
Another question is : " Did not we do the same ? "
Sunday after Sunday , job after job , we feed , fartamos our soul and spirit , eating all sorts of delicacies spiritual shown to us through the word of Christ , however, are not like the lepers in its second phase : do not listen to the voice of Holy Spirit screaming in our ears that "the city " , nations , peoples, nations , languages ​​and races need someone to go to them , and return them to talk about the release already promoted by Christ on the cross .

CONCLUSION :

The world situation has not changed .
